Hoops for St. Jude is a unique program that turns your passion for basketball into hope for children battling cancer and other deadly diseases. Participating in the program is easy, and by helping St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you'll be helping sick kids in communities everywhere.

Hoops for St. Jude is a national, basketball fundraising program supported by the community outreach efforts of NBA Cares. NBA Cares is the league's social responsibility initiative that builds on the NBA's long tradition of addressing important social issues in the United States and around the world. NBA Cares works with internationally recognized youth-serving programs that support education, youth and family development, and health-related causes, including Hoops for St. Jude. Hoops for St. Jude began as a fundraiser amongst friends and colleagues at the NBA Summer League and has evolved into a nationwide NBA program culminating with Hoops for St. Jude Week March 4-11, 2011.

At St. Jude no child is ever denied treatment based on the family's inability to pay. NBA stars, fans and schools throughout the country can pledge to help the kids of St. Jude while they follow and play the game they love.
